How much does a website cost in Kosovo? (2026 price guide)
How much does a website cost in Kosovo?
There is no official price list, and prices vary widely. As a guide: ready-made website packages start at around €10 per month (for example IPKO’s MyWeb package for small businesses, IPKO), while a custom business website from a local agency usually costs from a few hundred to a few thousand euros. Large institutional websites cost much more: the Central Bank of Kosovo estimated €35,000 for the design and development of its website (BQK tender notice).
At Triquon, a business website starts at €1,490 as a fixed price. See all packages and prices.
Your three options
| Option | Website builder / package | Freelancer | Agency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typical cost | from ~€10 per month | project price, varies widely | fixed project price |
| Design | templates | custom or template | custom |
| Your effort | high | medium | low |
| Support | the provider's help desk | one person | a team |
| You own the site | usually not | yes | yes |
What drives the price?
- Number of pages. A one-page site is the cheapest option. Each extra service page, language or section adds work.
- Features. An online shop, booking system, customer login or calculator costs more than a contact form.
- Content. If you supply text and photos, the price drops. Professional copywriting and photography cost extra but usually pay off.
- Languages. Many Kosovo businesses need Albanian plus English or German. Each language needs its own text and SEO.
- Branding. If you don’t have a logo and colours yet, branding comes first.
Running costs after launch
- Domain: a .com costs around €10–20 per year
- Hosting: from a few euros per month
- Maintenance: updates, backups and security, especially for WordPress sites with many plugins
- Changes: new offers, photos and pages over time
Why some Kosovo businesses pay more for a website
Businesses that sell to the German-speaking market or to the Kosovo diaspora need more than a local site: German texts, GDPR-friendly cookie consent, a proper imprint and fast loading on every phone. That adds work, but it is what customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland expect.
How to get a fair quote
- Ask two or three providers for a written quote for the same scope.
- Prefer a fixed price to open-ended hourly billing.
- Ask about all running costs (domain, hosting, maintenance).
- Make sure you own the domain, the code and the content.
- Look at real projects and check how fast they load on your phone.
Summary
A simple site can start very cheaply with a package, but a custom website that brings in customers is an investment of a few hundred to a few thousand euros. Choose based on what the website has to achieve, not only on price.
